Ronald McDonald House at Stanford
ALA Silicon Valley Chapter will be assisting families at Ronald McDonald House at Stanford.Helping a sick child fight their illness take a big enough emotional toll on a family. Adding a financial strain can make it all almost too much to bear. Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) can help address these problems, whether they involve housing that’s near a hospitalized child, the expense of staying together in anther city, or even basic medical and dental care in a vulnerable community. Core RMHC programs — Ronald McDonald Houses, Ronald McDonald Family Rooms, and Ronald McDonald Care Mobiles — provide access to health care and enable family-centered care. RMHC has helped lessen the burden for more than 5.5 million families in 2016. These programs, tailored to meet the urgent needs of each community, can now be found in more than 64 countries and regions across the globe. RMHC has 365 houses, including one at Stanford in Palo Alto, California. |

Let’s take care of these families! After a long day at the hospital, enjoying a nutritious dinner together is the best therapy for families, yet few have the energy to spend time cooking. On Tuesday, July 25th, Ronald McDonald House's “Bistro Style Dinner” program and ALA Silicon Valley Chapter will ensure that dinner is provided to families at the House. We are looking for 15 to 20 volunteers for this activity to prep, serve, and clean up. PLEASE JOIN US |
