Racism in America...

and How You Can Be The Change

Presented by ALA's Committee on Diversity and Inclusion ("CDI")

Join us for a deeper look into the current social unrest happening in America. Let's discuss — and listen to — the issues that have sparked protests across the country and the world.

The session will begin with a short presentation, followed by Q&A and open forum.

If you have a story to tell, if you have a lesson to share, or if you simply want a platform for your voice to be heard, please submit your input or questions in advance to ALASVC Director-Professional Development, Christie Ernst. We will do our best to include everyone's comments and questions.

ALA Silicon Valley Chapter joins the ALA Committee on Diversity and Inclusion's desire to walk the walk and #AmplifyMelanatedVoices.

Let's demonstrate ALASVC's commitment to being the change we want to see! Join us for the conversation and we also invite you to wear a "Be the Change" shirt. If you register by Friday, August 14, we will send you an iron-on patch for you to wear at the meeting. Let's show that ALA Silicon Valley is committed to the end of institutional racism.

COST: No charge for ALA Members and ALASVC Business Partners. Guests $35.

RSVP: Please use the REGISTER link no later than 10 AM on August 20. YOU MUST REGISTER IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THE LINK TO JOIN THE ZOOM MEETING.
