CLI is going virtual this summer

....July 17 through July 21, 2020

ALA's Chapter Leadership Institute (CLI) is an orientation, training, and networking event for chapter officers and volunteer leaders, as well as anyone else interested in this leadership content.

Participants include ALA's Board of Directors, Chapter Resource Team, Chapter Leaders, Business Partners, and key members of the Headquarters Staff.

CLI provides a unique opportunity for learning about and strengthening your leadership role, sharing ideas and experiences with colleagues, and expanding your network.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

CLI will begin on Friday, July 17, at 8 AM Pacific with a keynote presentation delivered by Michael Allosso, President of You on Your Best Day, Inc. Michael’s session will focus on bringing awareness of the excellence needed not only for presentations but also for communications in general — especially in times of crisis and in a virtual environment.

Beginning Monday, July 20, additional sessions will be offered that focus on hosting effective meetings; diversity, equity, and inclusion; communication and presentation skills; and much more. ALA is also working to line up a stellar closing presentation for you — so stay tuned for more information on that front!

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Each chapter is encouraged to send one or more chapter leaders to CLI. Everyone who attends will find value in the sessions being offered, however, "ideal" participants include:

• the individual who is currently serving as your chapter’s President-Elect;
• new chapter officers;
• current chapter officers who have not previously attended CLI; and
• individuals interested in becoming a chapter officer; and
• individuals interested in leadership topics or ALA leadership opportunities.

REGISTRATION DETAILS

The cost to participate in this virtual event will be $999 per chapter. This registration fee grants unlimited access to all members of your chapter interested in attending. Participating chapters will be provided with a unique promo code and registration link to distribute among their members to individually register themselves for no additional cost.
