Is your firm looking to change its accounting software in the next few years? If so, join us for an interactive panel/roundtable discussion that can help prepare your firm by providing you with the answers, tools and resources needed to make a successful transition. 

We have a panel of legal professionals ready to share their experiences and expertise and answer your questions.

The session will be held in-person and through Zoom, and it provides CLM credit.

Laurence Winters, Chief Community Officer 
SurePoint

Laurence has been with SurePoint (formerly Rippe) for 10 years, where he is currently the Chief Community Officer.  He started his accounting career as a staff accountant at Kroger where he moved up the accounting ladder over a period of years, until he was ready to make an industry change and moved to SurePoint as a Project Manager.  Laurence oversees SurePoint’s sponsorship and involvement in 21 ALA chapters across the country, including the Golden Gate Chapter’s.

Carol Patterson, Technical Sales Engineer
Centerbase

Carol is an accountant, and she has worked at several firms in the San Diego area totaling 10 years of experience.  She started Coyote Analytics in 2008 and joined the Centerbase team last year as a Technical Sales Engineer.  Centerbase is also a Business Partner of the Golden Gate Chapter.

Diane Camacho, Owner
DLC Consulting Services

Diane has spent more than 35 years as a legal manager in San Francisco for firms of various sizes.  In 2013, Diane started DLCCS, a legal management consulting firm, and has worked with solos and small firms across the county on a multitude of management and operational issues, including helping firms find the best accounting software for them.

Patricia Zulaica, Director of Finance and Client Services
Johnston, Kinney & Zulaica 

Patricia has over ten years of accounting and finance experience and joined Johnston Kinney & Zulaica in San Francisco as their Director of Finance & Client Services almost three years ago.  Recently, Patricia (along with Sue Stratton) lead the implementation of new accounting software for her firm.

Ron Avenida, Chief Operating Officer
Meyers Nave

Ron is COO of Meyers Nave, a mid-sized firm in California with four offices and 70 attorneys.  He received his MBA in international business from Saint Mary’s College.  Ron has over 15 years of law firm experience in Office Administration.   In 2010, he took a break from legal to co-found a tech startup.  Recently, Meyers Nave transitioned to a new accounting software.

Jeffrey Richards, IT Manager
Trucker Huss

Jeffrey has over 20 years of experience in Legal Technology, and this is his second life at Trucker Huss.  In between his two stints with the firm, he was the IT Director for a regional law firm in the East Bay.  Prior to working at law firms, Jeffrey was a Senior Consulting Engineer at Volant Consulting, a San Francisco-based consulting firm that delivered technology solutions and services to an array of businesses, including legal.  He is also an active and involved member of ILTA.
