Sacred Heart Distributes Thousands of Backpacks to Low-Income Students

As a volunteer organization, ALA encourages its members to give back to the community.

Showing children that this community cares about their future!

Sacred Heart Community Service is a non-denominational, non-profit organization that provides integrated services on site, free of charge, to all in need.

"Sacred Heart CS is dedicated to bringing our community together to address poverty in Silicon Valley. Through a comprehensive array of resources, services, and community involvement initiatives, SHCS is making a real impact in the lives of working poor families. Our vision is a community united to ensure that every child and adult is free from poverty."

Just before school starts, Sacred Heart provides new backpacks filled with school supplies to low-income students. This program is fully funded and stocked by people just like you! 3,300 kids are depending on you to make a generous contribution and provide everything needed to start the school year off right.

OUR ACTIVITY:  Our ALASVC team will donate our time to fill backpacks.

WHEN:  Saturday, August 6, 8:30 am - 11:30 am
